Are there any decisions my healthcare surrogatecan't make for me?

Aside from the directives you specifically include in your living will, there are a few other actions your healthcare surrogate cannot take:

• Placing you in a mental health facility
• Authorizing extreme psychiatric treatments or surgery
• Authorizing sterilization or abortion
• Authorizing any type of mercy killing
• Authorizing any act that exceeds the powers you authorized in your healthcare power of attorney
