John C. Wang is a founding partner of Salas Wang LLC, and concentrates his practice in immigration law. With over five years of experience across naturalization, citizenship and visas issues, he has served clients across the nation, and as a naturalized immigrant himself, understands the intricacies of the U.S. immigration law and its processes.
Prior to Salas Wang LLC, Wang worked at an immigration firm as the lead attorney on immigration, family and corporate litigation, drafting appellate briefs for the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, conducting patentability searches, registering state and federal trademarks, litigating contract disputes in state and federal court in addition to managing and processing labor certifications. He has also filed motions and pleadings including immigration documents with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (Department of Homeland Security).
Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a mechanical design engineer at Tetra Pak, Inc. and Butler America, driving new innovations and projects. Wang holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law where he was the International Law Society Vice President and a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, Student Advocate Program and Asian Pacific American Law School Association. He also participated in the DePaul University College of Law TIP (Technology Intellectual Property) Clinic.
