Tell us a little about your product or service.
We offer services that help manufacturers recover value on their suplus plant assets. In the past, manufacturers have only had the option of selling their assets for pennies on the dollar to used equipment dealers. We specialize in marketing their assets to a large buying audience, thus recovering a higher return or sale price.
How did you start your company?
I was an engineering for fiften years. As an engineering manager, I experience the need for my service first hand. After a short experience liquidating assets while working for an engineering firm, I started Midwest Equipment.

What or who inspired you to go into business for yourself?I have always been an entreprenuer at heart. I discovered this opportunity simply through the experience of my regular job. My girlfriend observed that I was good at it and suggested that I make it a full time thing.
What were some of the startup hurdles you overcame?
Cash Flow, cash flow, cash flow. The need was there so I had no problem getting clients. The challenge is to close the eals quickly to keep the cash in the black during the startup.
