Tell us a little about your product or service.
Try Change sells inspirational t-shirts via our website www.trychange.org. A percentage of all profits are donated to Volunteers of America Chesapeake. We also provide a online forum for individuals to share success stories and resources with one another.
How did you start your company?
Basically started the company via the internet through online services like Legal Zoom. First I registered the domain name of www.trychange.org, registered Try Change as a LLC and then designed some of our t-shirts

What or who inspired you to go into business for yourself?I decided to start the inspirational business from a trip to the local supermarket where I came accross a young women wearinga very offensive t-shirt then a couple of days later while at the mall I saw a young man who could not have been more than seven years old wearing a t-shirt promoting drug use. I thought to myself that we are better than than what I saw in the supermarket and mall and decided to take a chance on promoting a more positive message
What were some of the startup hurdles you overcame?
We have overcome some big hurdles! In the first week of being live on the internet, sold several shirts to co-workers and friends, made the front page of the Springfield Times and secured a store in the local mall to sell our t-shirts.
How has LegalZoom helped you in starting up your business?
It takes a lot for me to endorse a product but let me tell you Try Change could not have accomplished all that we did without Legal Zoom. Your services are outstanding! The customer service department walked me through each product that I subscribed to. i feel we are better as a company by working with Legal Zoom.

We have launched our product Line of Try Change, Try Peace, Try Diversity, Try Faith and Try Hope t-shirts and hope to motivate others to take a chance to make a positive change in there own lives. At TryChange.org we feel no matter what your political or religious beliefs there is evidence of change taking place throughout the world that reflects a desire for the return of common decency in our society today.
