Job Description

Responsible for supporting the all SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement SQL upgrade to 2005 and SQL 2005 Clustering.
• Create/refine database queries, indexes and stored procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases.
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL development.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
• Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of Log Shipping and replication on SQL 2000/2005.

• In-depth SQL Server Database Administration and TSQL experience.
• Experience managing multiple MS SQL 2000 & 2005 RDBMS on large systems.
• Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects.
• Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
• Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security.
• Knowledge of .asp, C#, web services and .Net framework is a plus.
