I am a chiropractor and I have always rented out a room to a massage therapist. Things have changed. I now pay an individual to do massages and I provide everything and she does other office work for me so she is an employee. I need another massage therapist for 3 other days. I have a therapist that wants to be an independent contractor. The room is provided. If she is on call for those 3 days, no benefits and provides her own lotion and washes her own sheets would she be classified as an independent contractor or employee?
