I am a new tax preparer and was blown away to find out my moms new husband has not filed in 13 years. He claims his refund was always kept for twins he had never seen. I don't know or care about the truth in that. I worry that he could get into trouble and my mother left alone, or even worse she get into trouble too because they are married. I have talked him into letting me see what I can do, and I love a challenge, but I'm not sure exactly how to do this because of him owing child support. Any suggestions on what path to take or advice to give him?
