We understand that in the State of California, until this year (2012) the primary way for 2 or more construction company to pursue and deliver large contracts was via a Joint Venture (JV). This past January, the State has now enacted legislature allowing this teaming arrangement to now be through LLC's. Where can I find a paper comparing the advantages of this pooling of resources for A project using an LLC vs. a JV? Tax implications, liabilities, etc.
