Hi, I currently rent a room and have a live-in landlord. I just gave him my notice, and since then he's been acting up. He told me that during the day while I'm gone I need to have the windows in my room open in order to "air it out". However, I'm usually out 14 hours straight, and even though there are protective bars, I still feel unsafe doing so. Additionally, the house is 300 yards from a major freeway, which means that tons of exhaust fumes and pollutants will end up going into my room and setting into my clothes, carpet, and furniture. There is nothing in our contract that stipulates that I have to open the windows, but honestly he's been acting very intimidating and forceful about this. Do you have any tips on how I can confront him about this?
