My sister has been going to court for over a year now against her Ex for visitation of my niece. It was an abusive relationship that has only gotten worse. His mother has since added my niece to her insurance using false information without my sisters consent. My sister is the primary guardian and her father only has custody when she is in his care. As a result my sister has been unable to use her own insurance to cover my niece. My question is can my sister legally do anything to get my niece off of her grandmothers insurance since 1. she (the grandmother) lied to her employer to get my niece on, 2. my sister never gave consent and 3. my sister has her own insurance and her father does not? We live in CA, any advice would be great!
