I recently got married and want to add my wife to the deed of my house (she is paying half the mortgage etc.). She is not on the mortgage, and can't be added due to some past credit issues. will a quit claim deed be sufficient (where I transfer title to both of us)? I live in NY state and talked to my mortgage company and they said there is no clause where they would call the loan due if I do this.
