My son was arrested and put in jail for a crime that he did not commit. He has a bone disease and has only cartlidge in his ankles which does not support like our bones do. He has had surgery on his spine and several hip replacements. He was made to walk from the jail to the courthouse which was mostly uphill from the jail. Also they would not let him put his shoes on. He was made to walk without shoes and with chains on his ankles up hill to the courthouse. This is cruel punishment for a person who is handicapped to the extent that he is. He is totally disabled and draws a disability check. I need to know what can be done about this. Will someone please tell me how to go about this?
