My son was placed in solitary confinement for over a yr at the Santa Rosa Correctional facility for a crime officers provoked him becuase of his mental limitations. Now, prison officials are neglecting to provide him proper medical attention. He has a problem with seizures and a he has only one eye (left) in which his vision is limited and has had surgeries in that eye. Further, prison officials have left his stitches in that eye since November 2010 and my son is now waiting for approval to remove these stitches. He is now suffering from unbearable pain and irritation without eyedrops or medical attention. It is a shame for officers to take my money for medical treatment when my son put in medical request forms and not turn them in. Interestingly, they tried to avoid him from calling home for over 2 months. Luckily, my son still is able to write me short notes.
