My wife of 29 years did in March. She bought a new car a little over a year ago and my name is not on any papers on the loan. In fact I didn't know what she paid for the car until I found the papers after her death. As it turns out, she is upside down on the car, she owes $4000 more than the car is worth. I can't afford the payments and I am considering to just let it go back. Will I be held liable for the difference?
