I was recently convicted of a dui and have 2 days of home detention. They said that on the first day that they will come and search the house for alcohol and weapons, my case has nothing to do with a weapons charge, do they have the right to search for that, under the constitution we have the right to bear arms. And also why does anyone over 18 have to consent to a search when it has nothing to do with them? Also they said that if the person did not sign the consent that I would be placed under arrest, is that legal?
