I am trying to figure out if an uncontested divorce will work for us. There are no children involved and the only joint piece of property is our home. This is a second marriage for him and a third for me. Previously both spouses died.
When we purchased the home in 2004 I put down $75,000 and he put down $25,000. We both have contributed to the house notes since that time. I would like to get at least the $75,000 that I put into the home. We just refinanced last year, but the home has not depreciated very much. What are the chances for me to retrieve those assets with and uncontested divorce?
