ZETA JONES SUES CLUB

Catherine Zeta Jones filed suit last week in United States District Court in Los Angeles against Reno's The Spice House, a topless dance club. Jones' suit alleges that the club displayed photos of the actress on its website alongside pictures of partially clad women. Stating that such use of photos creates a false impression that Zeta Jones endorses or approves of the club, the actress is seeking unspecified damages and an order barring use of her likeness.

KRAVITZ OVERFLOW

Singer Lenny Kravitz has been sued by Amica Mutual Insurance Company for over $300,000. in water damage to a neighbor's apartment after one of Kravitz's toilets overflowed months ago. According to the court papers, neighbor Joel Disend's apartment suffered "catastrophic water damage" due to the negligent action of Kravitz.

WAL MART SAYS NO TO CARLIN

Wal Mart has refused to stock George Carlin's newest book, When Will Jesus Bring The Pork Chops? stating that the parody would not appeal to its customers. Pork Chops is a commentary on current statements made by politicians and the media and features Carlin's usual brash humor. Carlin's spokesperson stated that he felt the book's cover art, a take off on DaVinci's Last Supper, offended America's number one retailer.

HASSELHOFF SENTENCED

Baywatch star David Hasselhoff pled no contest last week to drunk driving charges and was sentenced to three years self supervised probation, required to perform community service, make restitution and ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

STEWART FAILURE TO PERFORM EQUALS SUIT

Rod Stewart has been sued by three South American concert promoters for failing to return a $780,000 advance when he canceled his tour. Stewart has filed a countersuit stating that he pulled out of the tour when one of the promoters was late with a contracted $2 million fee and is asking for payment in full. The trial will begin this week.

O'REILLY LAW SUIT OVER

Bill O'Reilly's legal troubles have ended…the talk show host and Andrea Mackris, his former producer, have reached a settlement. Terms of the agreement have not been released.

DREAMWORKS SHARES UP

In its first day of trading as a public company, shares of DreamWorks Animation shot up 38%. The closing price of $38.75 a share sets the company's value at approximately $4.15 billion.
