A Michigan woman has filed a lawsuit against a Florida company that sells rubber energy bracelets, claiming the bracelets did not improve her health, the Palm Beach Post reports.
In the lawsuit, Arjana Xexo claims she paid nearly $40 for two bracelets in hopes that they would help her to improve her balance and overall health. She contends, however, that the bracelets did nothing.
Xexo filed the lawsuit in U.S. district court, and her attorney is seeking approval to sue on behalf of the hundreds of people who reportedly purchased the bracelets from the company, iRenew Bio Energy Solutions, according to NBC Miami.
According to the Post, the president of the company, John Merritt, was not immediately available to comment on the impending litigation. The company reportedly received an F grade recently from the Better Business Bureau, the news source said.
The late-night television infomercials for the bracelets reportedly claim that the metal insert inside will help people's overall health and re-balance their "Biofield," according to NBC Miami.
