Lady Gaga is the center of a lawsuit after her former assistant alleges she was used as a slave for the pop singer.

Alleging she was used as a slave to the performer, Lady Gaga's former assistant recently filed a lawsuit against the Mermaid Touring Company, which the singer uses for concerts.

Jennifer O'Neill alleges she worked for Lady Gaga for 13 months and is owed $380,000 in overtime.

O'Neill contends that as a former assistant to the pop singer, she was forced to do things against her will, such as fetching a towel for the pop superstar after she showered and keeping Gaga on schedule.

According to the lawsuit, O'Neill's job included her "ensuring the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock to keep [Gaga] on schedule."

The $380,000 O'Neill is requesting through the lawsuit represents 7,168 hours of overtime during 13 months she worked for the singer.

According to the New York Post, Gaga's representative said the lawsuit is "completely without merit."

The website CelebrityNetWorth estimates Lady Gaga's total assets to be $150 million.
