Golden State guard Monta Ellis is facing a lawsuit for allegedly sexually harassing a woman.

Golden State Warriors star guard Monta Ellis was hit with a lawsuit recently by a former female employee of the team, who alleges he harassed her by sending her explicit text messages.

Erika Ross Smith alleged in her lawsuit that the basketball star sent her unwanted text messages, some of which included a photo of his genitals, as often as several times a day starting in November 2010.

Smith worked in the team's community relations department during the time Ellis was allegedly sending her the unwanted text messages. According to the lawsuit, Smith never encouraged any of Ellis' advances and still has proof of the photos the NBA star sent her.

The lawsuit alleges that Smith had her job description changed and was fired after Ellis' wife found out about the texts and complained to team executives.

Smith is contending retaliation, wrongful termination and intentional infliction of emotional distress and is seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit.

Ellis is in his seventh season in the NBA and is averaging 19.4 points per game in his career.
