Lindsey confirmed the divorce in a statement furnished to The Associated Press on November 27. Describing this as "an extremely difficult time," she asked the media to respect her privacy and asserted her intention to compete throughout the remainder of the season. She said she will continue to be coached by the U.S. Ski Team.
