Jillian Michaels Set to Adopt Child from the Congo

After reports surfaced earlier this year that Jillian Michaels was planning to adopt a child from Africa, the "Biggest Loser" star now says she is in the process of adopting a child from the Congo, CNN reports.

According to the news source, Michaels reportedly announced in December that she was leaving her role on "The Biggest Loser" in order to become a mom and focus on raising a child.

"So the paperwork is done, and now it’s just a waiting game," Michaels told Us Weekly. "It could be six months, twelve months; it could be two years. Or, it could be tomorrow! They call you and they say, 'Oh, we have your referral,' which is essentially the child they match you up with, and you go overseas and you get him or her."

Michaels is reportedly set to become a co-host on the television show "The Doctors," according to the news source. She debuted on the first episode of "The Biggest Loser" in 2004.
