Melissa Joan Hart, who as a teenager starred in the television shows Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, recently told OK! Magazine she is considering adoption.
Hart and her husband Mark Wilkerson are already parents to two boys, 5-year-old Mason and 3-year-old Brady, but Hart told OK! she comes from a family of eight and wants a big brood of her own.
The 35-year-old actress said she might adopt after she is no longer able to have children herself. However, she acknowledged, "I don't know how that's going to happen or exactly where it's going to fall in."
Across the pond, Shane Ritchie, another celebrity who already has biological children, also recently revealed he is considering adopting. Ritchie, who plays Alfie Moon on the BBC program EastEnders, told Hello! Magazine he and his wife have the resources to adopt a child in need of a "chance." The couple already have a son and two daughters.
"We know we'll have to jump through hoops," Ritchie said, "but it's something we are serious about."
