The Association of Divorce Financial Planners is expecting record attendance for its ninth annual conference.
Allied divorce professionals, judges, mediators, attorneys, divorce financial practitioners, paralegals, therapists, insurance agents and other financial professionals will convene as the newly expanded ADFP addresses various financial issues as they pertain to divorce.
“In recent years, we've expanded our chapters across the U.S., including California, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Tennessee," said Lili Vasileff, president of the ADFP. "Chapters in the Pacific Northwest, the greater Boston area and elsewhere are also under development. This year, we've chosen the ideal location where all these professionals can come together to harvest ideas from the leaders in divorce financial planning: the world-class Doral Arrowwood Resort.”
The conference will cover ethics issues, creating new revenue streams post-divorce, tax issues, estate planning, retirement plans and more.
Finances play a major role in divorce happenings with a recent poll taken on Dollars of Divorce's website finding 89 percent of all respondents claiming to lack confidence with their finances moving forward following a divorce.
