After seven years of marriage, superstar couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have decided to divorce.
"We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters," the singers told People Magazine in a joint statement. They also said that the decision was "painful," and they want to maintain their privacy. Lopez and Anthony have two children, 3-year-old fraternal twins Max and Emme.
According to The Los Angeles Times, 41-year-old Lopez and 42-year-old Anthony renewed their wedding vows in 2008 and again last year.
Rumors recently circulated that Lopez was romantically involved with 30-year-old William Levy, a Cuban model who filmed a music video with her in April. However, following the news of Lopez's divorce, Levy's spokesman told TMZ that his relationship with Lopez is strictly professional.
While it remains unclear whether Lopez and Anthony signed a prenuptial agreement, Lopez reportedly paid about $14 million in a 2002 divorce from her second husband, Cris Judd. In 2008, People Magazine estimated Lopez's income of $20 million was almost double Anthony's income of $11 million. Lopez was rumored to have been paid $12 million to judge American Idol in 2011.
