No prenup in a Real Housewives divorce

Taylor Armstrong, of Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, does not have a prenup with her soon to be ex-husband.

Reality TV star Taylor Armstrong, one of the featured players on Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will not be a wife much longer. Armstrong and her husband, Russell Armstrong, have filed for divorce.

The Armstrongs have one daughter, 5-year-old Kennedy. Taylor told People Magazine she is confident a divorce will best serve Kennedy's interests, though it will be difficult to end her marriage.

The travails of the Armstrong marriage and their efforts to save it by going to counseling have been captured by Bravo's cameras. Russell told the website RumorFix that the constant scrutiny was difficult and contributed to the demise of his relationship with Taylor.

No prenuptial agreement was signed, TMZ reports, so Taylor has sued to share legal custody of Kennedy while maintaining primary physical custody. According to TMZ, she is worried about Russell's ability to care for their daughter on his own. She is also asking for spousal and child support.

News of the Armstrong split was eclipsed this week when word spread that pop superstar Jennifer Lopez will divorce her husband, singer Marc Anthony. It is uncertain whether Lopez and Anthony have a prenuptial agreement.
