After seven years of marriage, superstar couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have decided to divorce.

"We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters," the singers told People Magazine in a joint statement. They also said that the decision was "painful," and they want to maintain their privacy.

Court records indicate that the wife of Republican candidate for Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Richie Farmer has filed for divorce, reports The Associated Press.

According to the news provider, Farmer currently serves as Kentucky's Commissioner of Agriculture.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reported that Farmer's wife, Rebecca, filed for divorce on April 5 in Franklin Circuit Court.

"My wife and I are working through some issues in our marriage," Farmer said in a statement.
