General Partnership Agreements Glossary

Usually used in references to business entities, such as corporations or limited liability companies ("llcs") where the owners' liability to pay the debts of the company is limited to the value of their shares (in the case of a corporation) or membership interests (in the case of a Limited Liability Company). Limited liability can also apply to agreements where a valid limitation clause has been included in the terms.
