No will? There's a way online
Price: $59 to $109.
Description: LegalZoom offers a variety of legal documents, ranging from wills to prenuptials. Like BuildaWill, you can fill out the questionnaire, then decide whether you want to buy the product.
After you've completed your will, LegalZoom staffers will review it. The company doesn't offer legal advice, but its staff will point out inconsistencies or omissions, a spokesman says.
After the review, the company will print your will on high- quality paper and mail it to you. The lowest-priced version is $59. For $89, you can make unlimited revisions over the next five years, and for $109, you can make revisions and store your will electronically.
We sailed through the interview, and the "help" boxes provide common-sense explanations, although we had to squint to read the tiny type. LegalZoom addressed some issues we didn't see in other packages, such as what happens to your assets if you and your spouse die simultaneously.
