Tell us a little about your product or service.
We operate nationally and offer legal/logistical consulting, parent relational coaching, negotiation support, and resource development for parents with a special needs child. We serve parents with children that have: Educational Issues ADD/ADHD Autism Spectrum Disorder Learning Disabilities Physical Disabilities Behavioral Issues Health Impairments (visual & hearing)
How did you start your company?
I had a client I was doing some life/negotiation coaching for. He had a son with special needs and was having issues with his school district. I referred him to an attorney friend of mine whom I had hired to be my legal consultant for issues I was having with the school district. He mentioned that the coaching and legal consulting was something he desired simultaneously. This started a partnership with my friend whom has a Juris Doctorate and specializes in special needs advocacy.

What or who inspired you to go into business for yourself?My son Micaiah who has Autism is my greatest inspiration. As well as all the parents I have met that are settling for less than the greatest possibility for their child. Many times they are unaware of their rights and what is available to them and trust that the school district knows best. Others may hire an outside resource to handle issues and the parents never fully learn to advocate, which has benefits that reach far beyond education.
What were some of the startup hurdles you overcame?
Deciding where to price our service so that it is available to most income ranges and at the same time charge enough so that the parents will be at stake in the process and fully engage.

At P.A.C.A. we believe that the parents/guardians are the best possible advocate for their child. We also believe that when parents hire traditional advocates or attorneys to handle issues, they detour from what can be an enriching family opportunity. For this reason, we are passionately committed to support parents in becoming zealous advocates for their child's educational and social well being. We serve parents with children that have: Learning Disabilities ADD/ADHD Autism Spectrum Disorder Physical Disabilities Serious Emotional Disturbance Speech or Language Impairment Health Impairments (visual and hearing) We offer: Legal/Logistical Consulting – Parent/Guardian Coaching – Negotiation Training – Resource Development – Support Group & Event Presentation – Diagnostic & IEE Referrals.
