Tell us a little about your product or service.
We offer clothing to the recovery community that is different, has bite, and reflects the kind of thinking that isn't the "norm". We fit so well into this philosophy because we have never conformed to the "norm". We offer clothing with attitude, like our Recovery Threads™ originals and our Anonymi-TEE© Collection. All items from the Anonymi-TEE© Collection offer messages to other recovering people without breaking anonymity. We currently employ a staff of artists, representing many different 12-step programs. It is this special mix that has produced the first designs which are currently enjoying a wildly popular reception amongst the recovering community throughout the nation.
How did you start your company?
Recovery Threads™ was born out of our love for recovery and the recovering community. WE are in recovery, some from drugs, some from alcohol, others from other 12 step programs. We are a proud bunch and as such, like to profess the precious gift we've received. We looked to our local 12-step shops and found some apparel that was on-topic, but just not very cool. Looking to the Internet, we found a few other options out there, but none of them really appealed to us (the 25 to 45 age group). We decided that something new had to be done and we found the best opportunity by producing Recovery Threads™.

What or who inspired you to go into business for yourself?Recovery Threads™ actually started with a dream. I shared that dream with my now business partner. He said, "Lets do it". We contacted a number of local vendors and all of them cautioned us, stating, "This business isn't easy to succeed in, you guys better have something different". As it turns out, we did!
What were some of the startup hurdles you overcame?
Our number one concern was starting up without debt. We each put in a small amount of money, then grew the business using only profits from product sales.
How has LegalZoom helped you in starting up your business?
LegalZoom has been instrumental in our business. We used LegalZoom to form the LLC, and later LegalZoom handled our US Trademark application process. We have been extremely happy wityh the service and support offered by LegalZoom.

All of our shirts are printed with the highest quality screen & metallic inks using 4 color process. All of our T-Shirts are constructed from 6.1 ounce heavyweight cotton, they are taped shoulder to shoulder, and are double needle hemmed for durability. Today, we are truly an international company, shipping products to the U.S., England, Europe, and Australia
