About

Hi, I’m Makeda. I enjoy making the law digestible for my clients and helping them choose the best course of action for their business. My goal in my practice is to educate and empower my clients to protect their brands and businesses.

I represent clients in the state of Florida on a variety of business matters, including business formation, trademark, intellectual property and contracts. My previous work as in-house counsel for a record label gave me insight into all the ways artists and business owners in the entertainment industry encounter a variety of legal issues on an everyday basis.

I am particularly proud of my sponsorship agreement negotiation for a community music festival. I was able to attract a large brand to the festival while helping a new community endeavor receive the funding they needed.

Why I Practice Law
I’ve always wanted to advocate for others. I enjoy using my research and negotiation skills to get my clients the best results.
Fun Fact
I attended a performing arts high school where I majored in vocal performance and took a mandatory Music Business class. This was my first introduction to the entertainment industry.
