About

Hi, I’m Thuan. I pride myself in being able to simplify down complex topics into easy-to-understand information. I find it important in my practice that direct and transparent communication is optimal for a good working relationship and being able to find the best possible result for the client.

Throughout my practice, I have primarily worked on litigation matters, intellectual property, and have helped companies draft corporate documents.

One of my proudest achievements was co-authoring a law review article with my intellectual property (IP) law professor about the role of IP law in stimulating innovation in the tabletop gaming industry. It is set to be published in Iowa Law Review Vol. 107 in May 2022.

I strive to be empathetic in my practice to be able to put myself in my client’s shoes in order to provide the best service possible. I am an avid fan of board games and tabletop gaming, and recently authored an article about the basics of intellectual property for tabletop game designers.

Why I Practice Law
When I was in middle school, I wrote an appeal letter to my brother’s elementary school to dispute a suspension that he suffered due to a bullying incident. The appeal was ultimately granted, and he went to school the next day. As a result of this experience, I learned the value and fulfillment of being an advocate.
Fun Fact
In my free time, I spend time doing competitive powerlifting and bodybuilding.
