Zoomers are the central drive behind our mission of democratizing law and our accomplishments over the last fifteen years couldn’t have been possible without them. Here’s a look at one of our exceptional Zoomers.
In 2016, Tony celebrated his ninth anniversary as a Zoomer. He first joined LegalZoom as a document processor working on Name Change and Small Claim orders. Eventually, he made the move to Print/Ship when the team was first created. As Print/Ship Specialist, he’s responsible for assembling and reviewing completed divorce and name change orders before they’re sent to our customers. He brings to the team extensive training as a paralegal, years of experience in sales, and a longtime interest in the law. He’s happy to have joined a company where he’s able to make a difference in other people’s lives.
When he’s not putting the finishing touches on customer orders, he’s leading a very active life outside the office. He’s a fitness devotee, making sure to eat well and hit the gym a few times a week. He supports various community programs and for more than eight years gave back by coaching local Little League baseball and flag football teams. He’s an avid gardener and cultivates various fruit trees and vegetables at his home. He also plans to cultivate grapevines and make his own wine one day.
But what takes up most of his free time nowadays is music. He plays the bass guitar in a band called the L.A. Bluescasters. They’ve been rocking together since 1993 and play at various venues and community events throughout the Southland. Tony’s been playing music since the age of 12 and finds inspiration for his rock-jazz-blues fusion from great musicians like Marcus Miller and Robben Ford.
When reflecting on his nine years at LegalZoom, he acknowledges that what he loves most about his work is his fellow Zoomers. As he describes them, they’re great people who take pride in their work and are always willing to lend a helping hand. What advice would he give to new Zoomers coming on board? “Have confidence and don’t give up; definitely be a team player; and always be punctual.”
