Last Will Glossary

special directive

A special directive is a special instruction in your last will. It can be used for many purposes, from making a specific request to leaving a message. Examples of special directives include:

"I direct my sister, Betty Ann Barker, be given the first right of refusal to purchase for cash my home situated at Box 471, Rural Route 7, Pleasant, CO.

If all my heirs agree, I would like my home to be sold for cash and distributed according to the provisions of my last will."
