LegalZoom Issues Statement on New Jersey Supreme Court Committees’ Joint Opinion
GLENDALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, LegalZoom, the leading provider of legal solutions for small businesses and families issued a statement regarding the joint opinion of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committees.
The company's statement:
“We have read many descriptions of the recent joint opinion of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committees that misinterpret its findings. The Opinion discussed offerings of multiple companies. With regard to LegalZoom, it effectively said LegalZoom's services were ethical and compliant, but we did not complete a form they felt we should have submitted.
We heard them. While our analysis indicated the form was not applicable to our offerings, we were happy to complete it. LegalZoom registered its prepaid legal services plans within days of receiving the Opinion and we applaud the Administrative Office of the Courts for promptly issuing our registration number.
New Jersey attorneys continue to ethically work with LegalZoom. LegalZoom continues to offer high quality, ethically compliant services to our customers in all fifty states.
LegalZoom will continue to innovate. We will launch programs that our customers love, containing services independent lawyers like to provide, on a financial model that works for all parties. We all must work together to maximize access to the law.”
