Hi, I live in nj. If at the time that I make my will while living in nj but moves to nc before my passing. Will my will still stand even though I no longer live in nj?

Possibly. It will depend on the requirements for executing wills in NC versus the requirements in NJ. Requirements for witnessing and/or notarization vary from state to state. Individual provisions may also be affected, such as allowances for tangible personal property lists. To make sure your will is effective, I recommend updating it whenever you change your state of residence. If your question applies to a different jurisdiction you should check with an attorney in that jurisdiction. The information is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice.
