When I die my life insurance is going to my husband. How do I distribute that money in my will?

Carolyn W. ∙ July 8, 2019

If you life insurance already has your husband listed as the beneficiary, it will not pass under your will. The life insurance policy will control who the proceeds will go to and any provision in your will regarding same will be ignored. As long as your husband is still living when you die, the life insurance proceeds will be paid directly to him.
