Me and my partner currently have an llc with dba. We changed llc names, how can we transfer the dba?

This can vary by State so I recommend your set up a consult with your LegalZoom provider firm. Generally, if your DBA was registered with the State, you can prepare an Assignment document from the former entity to the new LLC and then amend the DBA registration with the State. If you merely changed your LLC's name and did not create a new LLC, you may not need to do anything. All assets and ownership remain the same. You can file an amendment with the state agency if you like.
