How many names can I include under one trademark?

Heather F. ∙ January 19, 2017

When filing for trademark registration, you are allowed one mark per application. It’s certainly possible to submit an application for a combination of marks, such as both a name and a logo together. Please note that in doing so, if granted the registration, the two will only be protected together as they appear on the application, and will not receive individual protection. If you would like to receive individual protection for each item, you must submit them in separate applications. If you are unsure how you should proceed, we encourage you to consult with an attorney.
