Trademark Statement of Use

4. Time Frame for Filing a Trademark Statement of Use

To complete the trademark registration process, you must file a Trademark Statement of Use within the following time period:

- Within six months of the day the USPTO mails you a "Notice of Allowance." This is a written notice of conditional approval of your trademark application sent after the mark is published. You can find the date that the Notice of Allowance was issued by visiting http://portal.uspto.gov/external/portal/tow and entering your USPTO serial number;

- Within any extension period granted by the USPTO.

If you do not file either a Statement of Use or a Request for Extension to File A Statement of Use within the allotted time, your application will be deemed abandoned.
