Honorable Armand Arabian
Hon. Armand Arabian, an Advisor to Legalzoom, served as a member of the Supreme Court of California from 1990 to 1996. Hon. Arabian's distinguished legal career and record of public service began in 1962 and has included service as a deputy district of attorney, superior court judge and justice of the California Court of Appeals, as well as ten years in private practice. On the Supreme Court of California, Hon. Arabian authored 104 majority opinions, 17 concurring opinions, 6 concurring and dissenting opinions and 16 dissents. In 1980, Hon. Arabian created the sexual assault victim counselor privilege now embodied in the California Evidence Code and adopted by 18 other states. Hon. Arabian currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Pepperdine University School of Law.
Mark Grady
Mark Grady, an Advisor to LegalZoom, is the Dean of George Mason School of Law. Dean Grady is a distinguished scholar with expertise in a variety of legal fields including Torts, Intellectual Property, Anti-trust, and Patent Law. He has written numerous articles and books, most notably, Cases and Materials on Torts West 1996, Patent Law and Rent Dissipation, 78 Va. L. Rev. 3051992, A New Positive Economic Theory of Negligence, 92 Yale L.J. 799 1983, and Readings on Intellectual Property UCLA School of Law. Dean Grady was the former Acting Director of the Federal Trade Commission, Office of Planning and Evaluation. He began his distinguished teaching career at the University of Iowa School of Law and subsequently taught law courses at Duke University, Northwestern University and UCLA School of Law.
Paul Bergman
Mr. Paul Bergman, an Advisor to LegalZoom, is a Professor of Law at the University of California, Los Angeles. Professor Bergman began his career as a clerk for Judge O.D. Hamlin of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Since joining the UCLA School of Law in 1970, he received the 1992 University Distinguished Teaching Award and received an award from the American Trial Lawyers Association for Excellence in Teaching Trial Advocacy. He is a distinguished author and has books aimed at laypeople who represent themselves in civil and criminal cases, including Represent Yourself In Court now in its second edition. He has also authored The Criminal Law Handbook, which explains the criminal justice system to non-lawyers and helps defendants charged with crimes work effectively with their lawyers.

Gary Culliss, an Advisor to LegalZoom, was formerly Chairman, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Direct Hit, a leading provider of internet search technologies for consumers and OEMs. Direct Hit was acquired by Ask Jeeves, Inc. for 5.1 million shares of stock. Gary invented the patented search technology behind Direct Hit and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Julius Christensen
Julius Christensen, an Advisor to LegalZoom, is Vice President and General Counsel of Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Western Bancorp from 1997 until its purchase by US Bancorp in 1999. Prior to joining Western Bancorp, Mr. Christensen practiced law at the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, where he engaged in merger and acquisitions and securities law practice. Mr. Christensen graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Law School and Summa Cum Laude from UCLA, where he received his BA in Philosophy.
Don M. Griffith
Don Griffith, an Advisor to LegalZoom, has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Coastal Bancshares, a registered bank holding company, and First Coastal Bank, N.A. since 1996. Mr. Griffith is also Chairman of DataTech Management, Inc., a data outsourcing company, and the founder of D.M. Griffith & Co., an investment firm started with the financial backing of Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. From 1979 to 1989, Mr. Griffith was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Interstate Bancorp. A Los Angeles native, Mr. Griffith earned an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, an MA in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Political Science from Stanford.
