Joe Callaghan, Esq.Corporate Counsel

Joe Callaghan, Corporate Counsel, is responsible for advising the company on commercial and corporate matters as well as in the areas of risk assessment, intellectual property and litigation. Prior to joining LegalZoom in 2008, he worked at the law firms of Kerr, Russell and Weber, PLC and Keller & Keller. An advocate for sustainable urban planning and real estate, Callaghan served as counsel for Callaghan Homes, Inc. and Wolverine Land Management, where he helped revitalize urban mixed use and brownfield developments.

He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.U.P. from University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
