Vanessa Bryant, wife of NBA star Kobe Bryant, recently filed for divorce from the Los Angeles Lakers guard, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple were married in 2001 and did not sign a prenuptial agreement, which means Vanessa could be entitled to half of Kobe's assets he's acquired over the past 10 years.
The star's wife filed legal documents December 16, in the midst of rumors of infidelity committed by Kobe.
The couple has battled court cases in the past, with Kobe being accused of sexually assaulting a Colorado woman in 2003, but Vanessa stayed with her husband throughout that legal battle.
Vanessa is now asking for joint custody of their two daughters, who are 8 and 5 years old, but is also requesting Kobe only have visitation rights. She is also requesting spousal support from the NBA player, who said he will pay her in court documents he filed shortly after she did.
The couple released a statement after the divorce was made public saying they resolved all issues privately.
According to the website CelebrityNetWorth, Kobe makes close to $25 million a year and is worth $200 million.
