We carry over 125 products that you know & trust in feminine care, & can deliver whatever you need, anytime you need it. We are your monthly menstrual support team!
How did you start your company?
Delivery Chicks began as an idea while working on my business degree. I wanted to do something for women that would speak directly to their needs & let them know that they matter. I bounced my idea off of my family, & they were as enthusiastic about it as I was! So with my husband's support, Delivery Chicks was created from my home office!
Because we know how busy women, families, single dads & young girls are today in the new millenium, it is time there was a better way to deal with our monthly feminine care needs...
What or who inspired you to go into business for yourself?As a mother of three, I have always worked from home doing taxes, Freelance writing, & teaching Pilates a couple of days a week at the gym. I love to stay involved in our community, so volunteering at school, church, & with the kid's activities has always been important over the years, however as busy as I was I never seemed to make much money. A mental turning point was when my brother invited me to be his guest at a networking group. When I told him that I wasn't a business woman, he laughed & told me that he sure thought I was. There followed a paradigm shift in my perspective of myself where I started studying business, and my husband & children have encouraged me all the way!
What were some of the startup hurdles you overcame?
Because this is such an original concept I do not have a similar business model to draw upon, so I have had to be creative every step of the way, including financially. Designing my own website was tedius & time consuming, but worth all of the knowledge that I've gained. I am currently attracting private investors to the corporation so that we can really advertise & get the message out there. Every girl needs to know that this terrific new service is available that will make their lives easier!
How has LegalZoom helped you in starting up your business?
I am based out of Nevada, which is a favorite state to incorporate in, so it is much more expensive to do the paperwork locally. Getting all of my legal paperwork done online has saved me both time and money, making the incorporation process the simplest part of starting my business!
