Tell us a little about your product or service.
Beautiful handpainted children's sneakers adorned with animals, bumblebees, butterflies and more. Adorable baby booties and baby shower gifts too.
How did you start your company?
My daughter Emma (recently passed away from pulmonary hypertension 9/24/03 - 1/19/07) loved bumblebees, spiders and all sorts of animals. We started these shoes because of her love for these things.

What or who inspired you to go into business for yourself?My daughter Emma inspired us to do this business. She loves these animals and shoes and we could do this to make her happy. Now we do it in memory of her. We also donate a percentage of our online sales to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association in Emma's memory.
What were some of the startup hurdles you overcame?
Aquiring the supplies necessary. Getting the legal aspects done without trouble (tax id, etc.) (thanks to legal zoom.) Getting the website up and running.
How has LegalZoom helped you in starting up your business?
I didn't have to spend all my time figuring out the complex business laws to get my license, tax id, etc., all that is necessary in my state. I care for my special needs children (Anna, Emma & John-- triplets) and then had the horrors of losing my Emma in January. I couldn't spend any time on getting the legal aspects of the business done. But felt it was even more important to do this now, in memory of Emma.
