Brian D. Meegan

Hi, my name is Brian.  I am an active entrepreneur and experienced attorney, who understands my clients and their need for practical, straightforward solutions.

I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, where I have represented and counseled U.S. and international business owners, franchisees, investors and executives on strategies, issues and agreements involving the formation, growth, management or sale of their businesses. 

As the Managing Member of Evergent Law LLC, I focus my corporate practice primarily on business transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, debt/equity issuance and shareholder/employee buyouts.  I also counsel business owners in franchising; retention of key employees; growth and protection of business assets; and the exit planning process.  In addition to leading my firm, I serve as General Counsel to a land and water development company and am the founder and CEO of a back-office support company, which provides bookkeeping and administrative support to its clients.

I have been deeply committed to the entrepreneurial community in Colorado for two decades, primarily through my involvement in the Colorado chapter of the Entrepreneur's Organization.  I frequently speak to groups about mergers/acquisitions, international business and entrepreneurship.  My clients tell me that by not just "talking the talk" but "walking the walk", when it comes to business experience, it makes a tremendous difference in the content and quality of the services they receive from my firm.
