LegalZoom Brings Business Formation Expertise to Microsoft Copilot for Legal Professionals

LegalZoom is expanding its integration with Microsoft Copilot, bringing our business formation and legal research capabilities to the recently announced Microsoft Copilot for legal experience.

This integration reflects LegalZoom's commitment to combining AI-powered efficiency with our trusted legal services, acting as the legal technology layer of AI for legal professionals and small businesses.

As Microsoft introduces purpose-built legal capabilities accessible through Copilot in Word and Cowork, we're bringing more of LegalZoom's trusted legal know-how and services into the tool to help legal professionals streamline business formations and research, giving them more time to focus on their clients.

The LegalZoom plugin brings two key capabilities to Copilot for legal professionals.

• Business formations: Attorneys can research business structures and formation requirements and can establish LLCs and other business entities on behalf of clients directly through the LegalZoom plugin, drawing on LegalZoom’s existing formation infrastructure built on a 25-year history and over 5 million businesses formed.
• Business license research: Attorneys can research and identify the licenses and permits required to operate a business, helping speed up lookups and legal checks.

Through Microsoft Work IQ and partner connectors, Copilot integrates organizational context and capabilities from specialized legal technology providers, helping legal professionals access relevant resources without switching between tools.
