PROJECT SCOPE.
The scope of this project includes providing end-to-end architectural design and consultation services tailored to the Client’s requirements. Our team will work closely with the Client throughout each phase to ensure the design aligns with functional, aesthetic, and regulatory goals. The project will generally cover the following areas:
(i) Concept Development: Understanding client requirements and translating them into design concepts.
(ii) Design Documentation: Preparing architectural drawings, layouts, and 3D models as required.
(iii) Approval and Coordination: Assisting with statutory approvals and coordinating with contractors or engineers.
(iv) Site Supervision: Conducting periodic site visits to ensure design fidelity and quality compliance.
1. CLIENT APPROVAL.
The Architect shall prepare drawings necessary for the Client's approval, ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and legislation, and assist the Client in obtaining statutory approvals as required.
2. CONSTRUCTION.
The Architect shall visit the site of work at intervals mutually agreed upon to inspect and evaluate the Construction Works and, where necessary, clarify any decision, offer an interpretation of the drawings or specifications, and attend conferences and meetings to ensure that the project proceeds generally in accordance with the conditions of contract, keep the Client informed, and render advice on actions if required.
3. PAYMENTS.
Invoices for the Architect’s services shall be submitted, at the Firm’s option, either upon completion of such services or on a [Invoice Submission Frequency] basis. Invoices shall be payable within [Payment Due in Days] day(s) after the invoice date. If the invoice is not paid within [Payment Due in Days] day(s), the Architect may terminate the performance of the service without waiving any claim or right against the Client and without liability whatsoever to the Client.
4. REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES.
In addition to the amounts reimbursable against site visits by the Architect, the Client will reimburse the Architect the following expenses incurred by him for the discharge of his obligations:
The actual cost of travel (to & fro), boarding & lodging, and local transport for any visit made by his staff to the site or such other place as may be necessary for connection with the execution of work and in connection with the performance of duties referred to in this proposal.
5. CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES.
To ensure the timely execution of the project, the Client is expected to provide:
(a) Clear project requirements.
(b) Relevant property documents.
(c) Site-related data or access for surveys, if required.
Any detailed expectations can be formalized in the contract later.
6. COPYRIGHT OF DESIGNS.
Architectural design is an intellectual property of the Architect. The drawings, specifications, documents, and models, as instruments of service, are the property of the Architect, whether the project for which they are made is executed or not.
The Client shall retain copies of the Architect's models, drawings, specifications, and other documents for his information and use in connection with the project. These shall not be used for any other project by the Client, the Architect, or any other person except for the repetition as stipulated in the Scale of Charges.
