What's an independent contractor agreement?
An independent contractor agreement sets up the terms between your business and a contracted worker, settling work responsibilities, project parameters, and payment terms. The agreement becomes the basis for understanding what is expected of the contractor, and what the contractor should expect in the way of tasks, compensation, time or terms of completion, reporting, and special conditions. This agreement is also sometimes known as a simple independent contractor agreement or an independent contract form.
